Requesting visual material

To ensure your request for visual material goes as smoothly as possible, please complete this form in full.

Conditions of use for images

• Digital files can only be ordered from the Kröller-Müller Museum. The museum does not grant permission for the use of images originating from other sources.

• The visual material is provided on loan and is for a single use only.

• The visual material may only be used for commercial purposes with the prior written consent of the Kröller-Müller Museum. For commercial use, please contact the copyright department in advance: images@krollermuller.nl.

• In case of reproduction, the work must be reproduced in its entirety.

• The display of only (one) detail(s) or the overprinting of a reproduced work with letters, numbers or anything else is not permitted, or is permitted only to a very limited extent.

• For online use, the image is resized to 2500 pixels along its longest side.

• The following must be stated alongside the image:

1. the name of the artist and title of the work;
2. collection of Kröller-Müller Museum, Otterlo, Netherlands;
3. the name of the photographer.

• If the visual material contains artworks subject to third-party intellectual property rights and a fee must be paid to the rights holder, the following applies. Where applicable (for example, if the artist died less than seventy years ago), the user must contact Stichting Pictoright in Amsterdam Stichting Pictoright in Amsterdam or a similar (international) organisation directly. The payment of a reasonable fee is at the user’s own expense.
