Past

In her work, Lilian Kreutzberger explores the relationship between digital and physical space. To this end, she combines hand-made objects with the latest technological developments. Kreutzberger reflects on an irreversible reality of our current society: the advancing digitalisation and the impact this has on our everyday lives.

The result is mesmerising work in which it is sometimes unclear how the objects were made. Kreutzberger plays with our gaze, for instance by using trompe-l'oeil effects. In RAUHFASER (ingrain wallpaper) she creates a world that raises the question of who has authority over the human sensory experience. Will the physical world determine our experiences in the near future, or will the digital world be dominant?

Some of the works on display include texts by author Lize Spit.
