200 modern sculptures
Distributed throughout the garden are over 200 modern art sculptures by world-renowned artists, such as Aristide Maillol, Jean Dubuffet, Barbara Hepworth and Marta Pan. Be sure to also visit the two pavilions by Aldo van Eyck and Gerrit Rietveld, architectural gems from the 1960s that have been rebuilt here. The sculpture garden is a lovely spot to unwind or relax during your visit to the museum.
Jardin d'émail by Jean Dubuffet
One of the most famous works of art in the sculpture garden is Jardin d'émail. You can touch it, walk through it and even play on it. This artwork is therefore ideal for visiting with children! Tip: bring your own picnic and spread your blanket next to your favourite sculpture.

Different opening hours for Jardin d’émail
Jardin d'émail is open from 1 April to 1 November, but for safety reasons you can only enter the work when its surface is completely dry. The artwork is also closed during or shortly after rainfall, as it may be slippery.
Jardin d’émail received a conservation treatment between 2016 and 2020. To keep the artwork in good condition for as long as possible, regular inspection, maintenance and cleaning is required. We clean the drains and the entire work is washed and scrubbed with water. Afterwards, the surface has to dry before it is safe for visitors again. We do this every last Monday of the month. The sculpture is closed during maintenance work
Practical information
A day ticket for the museum and park also grants you access to the sculpture garden. Buy your ticket online or at the park ticket office. You can only pay by card at the ticket office.
